Matt + Kelley| Searles Castle Wedding in Windham, NH
Matt and Kelley tied the knot at Searles Castle in Windham, NH and the venue could not have been more perfect for them. They did a killer job with the castle theme — Kelley personally made her wedding dress and her bridesmaids’ dresses for their big day, and the venue was full of details that screamed royalty, just as any castle wedding should. It was such a fun place (with an even more fun group of people!) to photograph.
They exchanged personalized vows during their outdoor ceremony right outside of the castle, which had many guests wiping their eyes. Shortly after, we spent some time during cocktail hour exploring the grounds to capture nice portraits. We found a few hidden gems with the help of the venue coordinator, and it was nice to take Matt and Kelley away for a little while so they could take it all in.
The reception was filled with great speeches, lots of laughs and a packed dance floor. What I loved most, though, was their first dance: you know, it’s not every day you get to photograph a a bride and groom performing one of your favorite How I Met Your Mother scenes for their guests. The whole day was legen — wait for it — dary, and I am so glad they chose me to help them remember it for years to come.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Stephens!
Jenna,
Thank you for helping make our day that much more special. You are a true friend and an amazing photographer. The pride and dedication you have for your craft shows. You accommodated all our needs and more. At first Kelley and I were doing the HIMYM dance for ourselves, but when I found out you and a bunch of our friends loved the show, we knew the dance was going to be that more special. I can not wait to look at all the photos tomorrow, when I get the chance. Once again, thank you for being there for Kelley and myself. You made yourself available whenever I needed to talk. I just can’t thank you enough.
